The world needs to decompress. We’re here to help. Welcome to SkinBarVII, Detroit’s premiere facial spa. Our mission is to bring high-end skincare to Detroit. Facials are sometimes viewed as a luxury, but we believe they are more than that. They are a powerful preventative tool to help nourish and replenish your skin, as well as an opportunity for you to relax and take care of yourself. And because we believe in the long-term benefits of receiving facials and skincare treatments using only high-quality ingredients from the earth, we’re committed to making them accessible to all. The first step in our facial is a consultation with the client. The consultation helps us design a customized treatment plan for each client. No one is alike: the client’s lifestyle, the current products they use, and their diet all play a major role in their overall skincare. SkinBarVII prides itself on in-depth skincare analysis. Our mission is to help clients set realistic skin care goals, and set clear expectations on the results the will achieve.

The deep facial cleanse is the first step in our facial process, It is specifically designed to remove dirt, oil, makeup and environmental pollutants from the service of the skin. We cleanse the skin with a product appropriate to the client’s skin type. Our professional cleansers penetrate the skin leaving you cleanse below the top layer of skin.

Exfoliation removes dead skin cells and stimulates your skin to promote cell rejuvenation. If your skin feels fresh and new after a facial, that’s because it is! We use a steam treatment to open the skin and soften any clogged pores so that our exfoliation treatment can penetrate more deeply. Our licensed estheticians customize the exfoliation process to address your specific skin care needs. From chemical peels to Micro-exfoliation, we select the appropriate treatment to ensure the optimum results for each client.

All our treatments are results-driven, meaning we will only recommend procedures that will help you achieve your skincare goals. If you are unsure of what is best for you, we can help you decide at the time of your appointment. These tailored treatments cater to all skin types, and may include LED light therapy, electrotherapy, non-surgical lifting, chemical peels, dermaplaning, and more.

Facial Masque are an important component of the facial process. A mask is designed to provide the skin with necessary and desired benefits. When choosing a mask for our clients, it’s not just the consistency of the mask, but the key ingredients that are most beneficial and gives the best results. Masques perform many functions, from aiding in blackhead removal to softening and enriching the skin and providing another level of exfoliation. Your masque will depend on your skin type and any conditions you would like to treat. We can target a range of conditions including rosacea, acne, sun damage, hyperpigmentation, age spots, and other discoloration.

Our facials finish with a moisturizing massage that lubricates the skin, compensate for the unavoidable losses it sustains from aging and exposure to the environment, relaxes facial muscles, and helps improve circulation. It is a relaxing finish to the facial regimen, allowing our clients time to decompress before returning to the outside world.

As the Founder and Head Esthetician of SkinBarVII, I bring over 10 years’ experience in esthetics to our spa, as well as over 20 continuing education classes. I am fascinated by the science behind skin, which is why I’ve designed our treatments to target root causes rather than temporary fixes. My passion has driven me to become Detroit’s skincare expert – because I believe that proper skincare is more than surface deep. It’s also about wellness, healthy eating, and taking care of your whole body. My practice extends beyond simply, skincare. It’s about the everyday connections I make with people who come to my spa. It’s about helping them on their way toward healthier skin, re-building self-esteem, and watching my clients thrive as they invest in their own wellbeing.
